Kido Takayoshi | Character Concept | College Portfolio

I'm not really a digital artist, and this was done with mouse and keyboard in GIMP... looking at my other uploads will show you I'm more a SFM artist. But anywho, I sketched this character concept out with a realistic style in mind, of which I somewhat stuck to with my digital version. The artist who inspired this piece was Rembrandt, who created tone using defined brush strokes to create contrast.
