Adachi Yuragari | Character Concept | College Portfolio

This is by far my favourite character design of the 4 I made (see the initial sketches post) because it packs the perfect amount of detail whilst being easy enough to translate to a digital format. The initial sketch was supposed to be realistic in style, but I decided to do something different for this character and have it be more angular and comic styled. Like Hiyashi, I was inspired by the cell shaded backlit aesthetics of classic comic books, with artists like Jim Lee or Steve Ditko.
